Good Morning Truth Seekers! It is a snow day and I am on a snow (slow) schedule. I hope if you are snow bound you take this time to catch up on some reading. Isaiah 14-16: After the judgement of Judah or Jerusalem the Lord will have compassion and allow them to return to their land. Some of you are familiar with Nehemiah who is allowed to return with a remnant to repair the walls of Jerusalem. Well, that happened after Assyria and Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and Judah. These chapter tell of God's soon coming destruction of those empires. Additionally, the Moabites will be destroyed because of their unwillingness to assist the Israelites in a time of need. Please do not overlook the prophecy of redemption from David's house. (16:5)
Mark 4: 221-41: Jesus teaches in parables. A parable is a short story used to make a point, or to teach a lesson. I will yield to verse 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything. Read each parable, spend time with God and ask, What is the point?"
