Happy Sunday Truth Seekers! It is Sunday and I am excited we are going to the baptismal waters. Here is the power of God. Just over a year ago I met someone at the YMCA-Belleville. Invited her to church and now her friend will be baptized. I want to encourage you to just walk across the room and invite someone to heaven. Praise be to God!
Genesis 43-45 is a new beginning for Joseph and his family. He is concerned for his brother Benjamin and plants an item in his bag in what I believe is an effort to get him and save him from his horrible brothers. But in the process Judah steps up and offers to take his place as Joseph's slave. It touches Joseph and he reveals who he is and tells his brothers not to think about what they did to him. Because God's hand was in it, so that he could save lives; theirs included. Joseph sends for Jacob and it revived him in his old age to know that his son was alive and well. (Don't forget that Israel and Jacob are the same person) This is why we should live right, so that we never have to look over our shoulders for what might come back from our past. Start now!
Romans 15: Paul again starts off saying that the strong should be patient with the weak. He reminds us that Jesus took on our weakness. He also says to build up those who are weak, instead of putting them down. The responsibility of the strong is to help those who are weak. Paul also instructs us to be unified with one another as Christians. Accept each other, as Christ accepted each of us. It implies that we should be accepting of another as Christ accepted us with our weaknesses and shortcomings. This is our duty recognizing God's mercy toward us through His son Jesus. Be Blessed!
