Hello Truth Seekers! It is Sunday and it seems difficult to get the blog in on Sunday given my mind is on the sermon. However, finishing up Isaiah feels good and I am looking forward to Exodus. Isaiah 62-64 Continues to highlight Israels distance from God, and God determination to send the redeemer to them. Isaiah praises God for his might and majesty, but the people of God seem to have blown it. God promises to get vengeance and redeem his people.
Mark 14: 27-53 Jesus predicts that Peter will disown him and is disappointed in the disciples who fell asleep while he was praying. Jesus says to them to Watch and do not fall into temptation, because the spirit is willing but the body is weak. He spoke to their sleepiness, and the challenge of living in this world. The old nature will never reform and will always pull opposite the Spirit. Watch and pray!
