Good Morning Truth Seekers! Isaiah 30-31 Isaiah the prophet of the Lord gives insight to what will happen to those who seek refuge anywhere other than the God of Israel, especially Egypt. But for those who seek the Lord and trust in him will get guidance and blessings. The point is to trust in the Lord our God in all things. Walking by faith is the prescription regardless of how bad it looks or gets. If we trust in the Lord and remain faithful in righteousness He will come.
Mark 7: 14-37 Jesus teaches that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him. Jesus removes the ban on unclean foods, and establishes that a mans heart is where evil comes from. He heals a woman's daughter, and heals a deaf mute. The more he asked them not to tell the quicker the word spread of his power. I wonder if we told people to keep Jesus a secret what would happen. Now we see the miracles of Jesus go unannounced and unacknowledged robbing Him of the glory due him. Don't be guilty of such, give God the praise for what he does in your life.

In our present time of turmoil we must stand fast on Prov 3:5 as well: Trust in the Lord with our whole heart, and do not rely on our own understanding, think about Him in all of our ways and He will guide us on the right paths.
ReplyDeleteYou mention in Mark how people starting spreading what Jesus had done after His miracles. It almost as if He used reverse psychology. Today, when people ask us to hold a secret and not tell anyone, we become anxious and like a bag with a hole in it, start running our mouths. It's like saying, I got a secret but don't tell anybody.
Bottom line, we must remember to give glory to whom glory is due...the Lord Jesus Christ!
