Good Morning Truth Seekers! Isaiah is called upon in at a time when Hezekiah the king needs help. I am always amazed that people know to call on the Lord in a time of need. I often say that God cares about us every day and wants the best for us. Hezekiah is smart enough to put God name before his own kingdom. He says that the king of Assyria blasphemes the Holy One of Israel. God intervenes and fights this battle on behalf of His name. Sometimes when I have fallen short I ask God to deliver or provide in for His Name's sake. I hope you learn that prayer. Hezekiah was a praying king who sought the Lord for his country and his own life. Because he put his trust in God he was spared and rewarded 15 more years. God did remind him that it was He the Lord providing and guiding Judah, and that their behavior toward Him had not been goodly at all. It proves that the Lord God is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. (Psalm 103 )
Mark 9: Jesus is focused in trying to get his disciples ready for his departure. He spends quality time with them teaching them and revealing Himself and plans for the future. It is important for all who are disciples of Jesus to spend time with him. He says whoever is not against us is for us, and that whoever receives a child; receives Him and whoever receives Him receives the Father Lastly, he encourages us that heaven lame is better than hell whole. I pray that you are maintaining your saltiness by spending time with Jesus and spreading a little as you go.
