Leviticus 4-6: Hebrews 7

Good Evening Truth Seekers! Happy Palm Sunday! Leviticus continues to instruct Israel in how to approach God. Sin requires confession and restitution. The punishment for sin is death. God has so graciously created the sin offering to substitute for the life of the offender. More importantly, sin requires us to appear before God and offer repentance and sacrifice something for his grace. Live stock was valuable. Unblemished signifies our very best for God. Put it together it adds up that we should offer God what means most to us. Our utmost for his highest. In order to approach God we need to be without guilt or holy. God who is holy and just will not over look our sin, therefore, he want s us to confess, acknowledge his authority and ask for forgiveness.

Hebrews 7 establishes that Christ came as a better high priest than Aaron lineage could provide for us who needed forgiveness. Melchizedek represents a line of priest that is higher than the Levitical line. Jesus is bigger and better than all who come in human capacity. He is perfect.
