Isaiah 65-66: Mark 14:54-72

Good Morning Truth Seekers! Isaiah finishes up with the same message he has had for 66 chapters. The message is that all who have forsaken the God of Israel will have his wrath come upon them. However, for those that call on Him and seek Him will receive the privilege of worship, the provision of bounty and the blessing of eternal life with Him. Destruction to his enemies and blessings to His followers.

Mark reaches a sad but necessary time for our Lord. He is denied by Peter as He predicted, the others have been scattered and He is being lied on, mistreated and on the way to the slaughter. I marvelled at Isaiah in Mark. I think that it is easy to focus on self preservation as Peter did, in the midst of such pressure. I say after seeing what happened to Jesus it was no time to wear the Christ T-shirt.
