Exodus -11: 1 Thessalonians 1

Good Morning Truth Seekers! Exodus 9-11 reminds me of a saying my mother used, "A hard head makes a soft butt. She used that phrase to remind us that if we did not obey, we would receive the due punishment of a spanking. She kept her word and when any of us failed to follow the rules she whipped us. In the text we find Pharaoh in a losing battle against God almighty. The more stubborn he got, the worst the plagues got. These plaques showed Jehovah's power and highlighted the powerlessness of the Egyptian sorcerers and gods. God was making the point that there were no other Gods other than Jehovah. I hope that you have come to that belief in your own life.
1 Thessalonians 1: Is the celebration of how those saints received and believe the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus by the Holy Spirit. More so, they then became examples by spreading the word to others. What a wonder testimony. They were so blessed that they sought to be a blessing to others. This would be a wonderful eulogy for the saved.
