Genesis 49-50:Romans 16

Good Morning Truth Seekers! Today is a historic moment in this nation. I want to encourage you this morning to pray for our nation, our people and our President. 2 Chronicles 7:14 has to be our battle cry if we want to restore the greatness of our nation. President Obama needs a nations who will pray and work.

Genesis 49-50 Represent a finale of the lives our forefathers. Both Jacob and Joseph die with the assurance that God will continue to be with their descendants. Joseph says in the end of Genesis and says in so many words to his brothers; it was not about them or even him, it was about God working his plan of salvation to save many. I hope you can see the hand of God on your life when you reflect on your past, and more importantly in your future and upon those you leave behind to go forward.

Romans 16 Paul prayer in 15 asking for prayer for his mission now overshadows his litany of ministers in 16. Paul's letter ends with instruction to be in harmony with one another, and to watch out for the proverbial wolves in sheep clothing. This warning is why we must read and know the word of God. Our lives will not be based on what we remember, but what we know about God and his revealed will through his word. Psalm 119: 11 teaches us to hide the Word in our hearts. Pray as well as watch!
