Isaiah 7-8:Mark 3:1-19

Good Afternoon Truth Seekers! Is anyone out there? This is starting to feel like I am sojourning by myself. I have been here before, when it seems like I am growing and leaving members behind. Is this the wrong mode? Should I use Face Book? Would that be easier to dialogue in? Is anyone else reading?

Isaiah 7 &8: God sends a strong message to the king of Judah and that message is God is with us. Immanuel means the God who is with us or the with us God. This news can only be comforting in the sense that it will happen much later. But the message of hope is that Judah will not be stomped out and the rival kings will meet destruction. But because of Judah's failure to yield to God he will use the Assyrians to chastise them. Isaiah reveals Gods continued frustration that he is available, but his people seek to consult spirits and mediums. Warning! If everyone else give up on God don't you!

Mark 3:1-19: I am ashamed to say that I am glad to see that Jesus became angry. I often feel like people know what is right but want me to ignore their wrong. The onlookers knew that the answer to Jesus' question was to do good. But to preserve their desire to do evil they kept silent. I have learned that right in us will not overlook the wrong we do. Additionally, it is irony in that Jesus is trying to keep the demons from revealing who he is, as he called the apostles to go tell who he is. The devil is always trying to get us on his timeline. But Jesus has authority over evil.
