Genesis 19-22: Romans 8

Good Morning Truth seekers!; I hope you are being richly blessed by God through his Word! I love chapter 20. This is the place when I realized that God will not share his glory. He makes sure that there is no confusion about who's the baby's father. God was giving Abraham and Sarah a baby and he waited them out in old age so they would know it was God. Sarah said it in 21, after she said God has brought me laughter, who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? yet I have borne him a son in his old age. (Sarah was 90 and Abraham 100)6 & 7
Don't miss in 20:12: Sarah and Abraham are related; she is the daughter of my father, but not of my mother. In God's timing he will deliver that which is in His will for our lives. However, I see that obedience is expected along the way. In 22 we see that God says that because Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son, that his offspring would be numerous as the stars. I often wonder, "How many times have I delayed destiny in my life through disobedience ?"

Romans 8: 12 is a great summation of what Paul is writing; our obligation is to live by the Spirit, and if we do that then we live. According to v26 we get help; the Spirit helps us in our weakness. My prayer today is that we all find strength and help by living in the Spirit who intercedes for us in accordance to God's will.()(27)
