Genesis 18-19 Romans 7

Good morning Truthseekers! I begin today by asking you what the Angel asked Abraham; "Is anything to hard for the Lord?" (v14) I believe that life is not what you make it, but moreso, what you believe it can be. Spiritually speaking I think that the promises that God makes to us makes life so simply wonderful that we miss it. Often times the God who prevents go unworshipped. The constant prevention of turmoil, chaos, confusion, and needs keeps the Lord unsung. Abraham and Sarah's belief seem to get weary looking at themselves, but again it is not about self reliance to accomplish God's will. God was insuring that His glory was His and His alone. Go ahead and laugh, but laugh in the amazement of what God can and will do, whether you believe it or not. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah reminds me that God is always looking for a way to bless us not blast us., and sin will eventually be dealt with. I believe that Abraham's plead was for Lot and God remembered Lot for his sake. I really do not know what to say about the rest of 19 but ummm!

Romans 7: Hey remember when you think about this chapter that in order to fully understand you need to read chapter eight ,too. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. Paul is trying to establish with a people who heralded Moses and the law that Jesus is greater than both. So his attack on the law/commandment is to make a case that life in the Jesus atones for all sin and through the Spirit we can live a life of righteousness. So the comparisons are an attempt to get them to realize that the Law was now subordinate to Christ and God's grace provides life through Jesus; The law could not atone for our sins, but through Christ we could live free of sin and condemnation that would eventually come.
