Hello Truth Seekers! Philippians 3 is Paul placing more value on his relationship and salvation with and through Jesus than on his Jewish heritage. He states that he consider what he has in belief and faith in Christ is better than what he had in Jewish law and tradition. He counts it as rubbish in comparison. He presses forward to reach the life and promises he has in Jesus, including the resurrection. I wonder often if we really value what we have in salvation, wisdom and eternity. Do we get excited about our faith. Do we treasure it more than any earthly thing we have or had?
Jeremiah 51-52 the end. Jeremiah continues with ultimate defeat and destruction to Babylon. the lesson is that even though God used the Babylonians to bring judgement on Judah, his justice and judgement will come them as the pagans they are. God is sovereign and can decide to use anyone at anytime for his purpose. But the responsibility to serve him only still remains and each person will be judged accordingly. There end comes with a promise to restore Israel and Judah. Thanks for a God of redemption!

Jeremiah 50: Phillipians 2
Hello Truth Seekers! Jeremiah 50 is about one thing and one thing only: the destruction of Babylon. There will come a day of recogning from God!
Phillipians 2: is about glorifying God in how we live, and die. Paul wants every person to bring glory to God. He speaks of living in such a way that we are blameless. This is to live without the need to apologize, which means no need for do overs. With out do overs we would rid ourselves of guilt that comes with sin. What a marvelous goal and life to present to God.

Jeremiah 48-49:Phillipians 1
Good morning Truth seekers! Philippians one is a greeting from Paul that primarily gives thanks for the saints at Phillipi, he rejoices because the gospel is preached and he states his desire to glorify God with his life by the power of the holy spirit in life or death. Furthermore, he encourages them to live in a way that glorifies God. Each of us should live in a way that brings glory to God. I think in order to do that you have to compartmentalize. Meaning in every role you play; son/daughter, husband/wife, sister/brother/ friend/foe and ask how can I glorify God in this role. Being at good father does not excuse one from honoring his mother and father. God wants to get glory from our entire lives. This approaches keeps the work in front of us and allow us to celebrate some victories too.
Jeremiah has a word of vengeance to all the countries who have turned against Judah and Israel. Punishment will come to each who deserve it.

Jeremiah 46-47:Matthew 26-28
Good Evening Truth Seekers! Jeremiah has had it rough. He has been left for dead and then tormented by the king asking him what else did the Lord God say about them. He has been forsaken by his people, and all because he has delivered the message that God was going to punish Judah for leaving Him for idols. He saw the fulfilment of the prophesy that Babylon would over take Judah, and kill Zedekiah. He stayed in the land just to see the person he stayed with killed. There is a promise of restoration of Judah, but not those who fled to Egypt.
Matthew 26-28 is the final chapter of Jesus earthly life and ministry. He was betrayed, hung, buried and resurrected. It was more the end of the beginning of his eternal reign. He arose with all power in heaven and earth. And on that authority he commissions his followers to evangelize the world. Will you believe and Obey Jesus?

Jeremiah 30-33: Matthew 26:1-50
Hello Truth Seekers! Jeremiah has the word from God that Israel will be destroyed and restored. He promised that Israel and Judah would return to Him. Once again they will be the pride of God. God tells Jeremiah to buy some land to encourage him that land will be bought and sold in Judah after the calamity falls upon them. He assures him that as day and night comes so will his word regarding the future of Israel and Judah. God is merciful. However, in order to be just he must chastise and restore. Thank God for restorative futures. That means that their is hope. Do you have it?
Matthew 26 is the beginning of the end. Jesus will be betrayed, handed over and left by disciples. He prays that if all possible the cup could pass, but the will of the father is most important. Judas betrays Jesus, but Jesus shows loyalty to the Father. All deeds will have consequences. Jesus and Judas will both receive the just response from God.

Jeremiah 24-29:Matthew 25:31-46
Hello Truth Seekers! I am encouraged that we are easing on down the road. If bible content was a goal of yours you are well on your way. I know that we are reading fast, but drop some markers so that you can make your way back. Do not be discouraged because you cannot remember it all. It will be what you know, not what you remember that will make a difference.
Jeremiah prophecy is fulfilled that Judah has been taken to Babylon. God will not forget them but they will be there for 70 years. Jeremiah continue to have his life threatened for preaching the words of God to Judah. God warned them and warned them, but no heed. My prayer is that the Lord will be patient with me, and that he helps me get it right before his wrath comes upon me. What is your response to this reality of God will not always withhold punishment?
Matthew 25: 1-46: Jesus wants us to treat everyone the same. Godly love is extended to everyone. The hungry, naked, imprisoned, and you get the picture. As we do to the least of our brothers we have done it to the Lord. Do not cherry pick. Treat everyone the same in kingdom building. God wants everyone to be saved.

Jeremiah 18-23: Matthew 23-24
Hello Truth Seekers! Jeremiah has been humiliated and beatened ed by the king. He was persecuted because of obedience to the Lord. Well the kings defiance to the Lord. He wished he was never born. Sometimes serving the Lord is not all glitz and glamor. Some people only see the glory but never know the whole story of servitude. Personally speaking I believe that it is worth it all, but sometime difficult in the midst of so much hardship to serve God. Jeremiah like you and I will not be judged by what others do or have done, but for what we do compared to what we have been asked by God. In the midst of that, he still has to tell the people that God will turn them over to defeat at the hands of the Babylonians and that they will be taken from the land.
Matthew 23-24 is about making sure that each of us is ready when the Lord returns. No man know that hour or day, therefore, we need to be ready.
